From the Yae-hara district of Tōmi City, located across the Chikuma River from Villa d’Est Winery. This area is known for its exceptionally fine clay soils, producing flavorful rice and vegetables, and has been cultivating Merlot since 2015. With vineyards situated at a lower altitude than those surrounding the winery, the grapes ripen more easily, resulting in wines with deep color, layered black berry fruit, and a vibrant spice character. A refined and expressive red wine that reflects the richness of its terroir.
